Raised at Slip Point in Clallam Bay, I have deep roots in this community and a lifelong love for its history and natural beauty. Board Member
The Olympic Peninsula and the West End have been my home since 1979. I’ve been interested in its unique history and cultural significance since then. Slip Point has many stories to tell. Its lighthouse and grounds are central to understanding the history of the people and communities along the Strait.

Jane Hielman
Board Member
When I arrived in the Clallam Bay–Sekiu community 26 years ago, the first thing I heard was, “We want access to our only historic building.” That call stayed with me. I’ve long supported the effort to restore and reclaim the Keepers House. I’m grateful for the energy and commitment this group brings to making that vision real.
